Keyword Searching And Your Most Important Product

So, you have your website set up and now you are waiting for the traffic to come so you can show them the great merchandise or services you have, is that what's happening now? Many just like yourself are waiting for the same thing. The problem is when that doesn't happen and people are not sure what's wrong and why no one is wanting what they have. The problem, my friend, is associated with keyword searching. Put simply, keyword research is finding what people are looking for and what they want? If you were in my office and told me the scenario I mentioned above, I would have to ask you if you had done any keyword searching.

First, let me tell you what keyword searching is and why it's so important to your online success. When you go into Google and you enter a term to find out its popularity you are doing exactly what I am referring to, you are looking to see if what you entered is what people want. This is what you're looking at and what it means.

Your search result is the amount of competition you will have to compete with. If there is a lot you have to ask yourself, and I mean honestly, if you think you can get your page to the top ten with the amount of results you pulled up. When you are looking at the competition, if you compare that to the traffic it will give you an approximate number in relation to how much a PPC will be. Higher traffic to a site means the PPC will be higher, at least it has in my experience.

The point of all this, and and why I'm explaining what you are looking at when you do your keyword research, is to let you know how much value you can place on your results. If you find a term that has lots of traffic but millions of results of competition, then you can pretty much figure you can't use it. If, however, you find one with massive traffic and not much competition, then that's one to go after. Keywords are the backbone of your business. In the brick and mortar world, it's called supply and demand. For, us in using keyword searching, our product is more often than not: words.
